An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
When we last covered StackGen in August 2025, the company had just acquired OpsVerse, adding its Aiden AI agent orchestrator to StackGen’s product lineup.
Now StackGen is adding four AI agents to Aiden to round out the governed operating system StackGen calls an ‘Autonomous Operations Factory.’
These new agents include infrastructure operations, DevOps, observability, and SRE, all leveraging a common context and memory layer that maintains context for the agents across the operational lifecycle.
Leveraging this factory, StackGen inputs various formats of input signals that represent human intent, which the Aiden OS agentic harness delivers as agentic actions with human-in-the-loop approval. These actions then feed back into the agents in an autonomous learning loop.
StackGen has also announced the acquisition of Shipyard, providing ephemeral environments to the Autonomous Operations Factory for improved autonomous testing of agentic behaviors.
Intellyx hot take: Now that AI agents have dramatically accelerated the creation of software, organizations are running into bottlenecks when testing, deploying, and operating such code. StackGen is well-positioned to help its customers resolve such bottlenecks.
Intellyx cold take: Including humans in the loop to assuage customer concerns about fully autonomous operations is problematic, as ‘human in the loop’ can lead to slowdowns, human errors, and automation bias. StackGen will need to resolve these issues to remain competitive in the autonomous operations market.
