Datamotive provides bidirectional workload, application, and data portability among instances running on AWS, Azure, and VMware and can also move instances to Google Cloud Platform. For example, Datamotive can move a VMware VM to an Amazon EC2 instance or vice-versa.
This instance portability helps Datamotive customers scale, migrate, and recover from backups, even across clouds.
Migration takes about ten minutes regardless of the size of the instance, enabling Datamotive to offer strict SLAs for cloud and VM portability.
Datamotive handles the differences among cloud configurations via several pre-built scripts. Customers have the option of writing their own scripts as well.
