An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
We’ve covered Imply twice. In March 2022 we covered how Imply leveraged the open-source Apache Druid analytics database. Then in June 2023, we discussed the company’s schema auto-discovery feature.
Today, Imply’s latest capability is ‘sessionization,’ giving it the ability to group data by user session, say for tracking users as they interact with an online streaming service.
To implement such sessionization, Imply improved the database’s ‘GROUP BY’ capability – a difficult challenge for a real-time database that deals with streaming data.
